Meet the Mets! In 1986, being a HUGE MET fan, I was walking out of Shea Stadium with my best friend, her sister and boyfriend. While in the parking lot I saw Tim McCarver, the announcer for the METS and an old Cardinals player. I yelled ” Hey Tim” and he yelled back “Hi there, Honey” I almost died! We also saw Daryl Strawberry driving out of the parking lot in a Volkswagon Bug!?
