“Angel” Actor An Angel… One of the nicest celebs I have ever interviewed was Alexis Denisof, who played Wesley on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel.” He and his wife, Alyson Hannigan of “How I Met Your Mother,” just had a baby. Anyway, during our 45-minute phone conversation, he practically interviewed himself, giving me personal and professional info while I just sat at my desk crossing off the questions I was going to ask him that he was already answering.
Despite the that fact Alexis was fighing a horrible cold at the time, he was articulate, precise, polite, modest and funny. And he totally downplayed the fact that he had attended St. Paul’s School in New Hampshire, which is one of the top three boarding schools—academically and socially—in the U.S. Also, it was fun hearing him speak with his normal American accent, as I was so used to hearing him put on a spot-on British accent as Wesley on “Buffy” and “Angel.”
